Digitizing healthcare processes for remote under-serviced areas

Fio Corporation is a leader in revolutionizing remote healthcare. Through direct user research, our team defined key pain-points for doctors and healthcare workers in remote under-serviced regions of Africa and South America. By setting up designated test clinics we were able to have a user-centered process from thousands of kilometers away. Key pain-points our team focused on solving: 1. Lack of transferabilitiy and reliability of existing paper records for patients 2. Inconsisent readings of rapid diagnostic tests 3. Lack of visibility of larger health trends

Improving accuracy, reliability, and impact of remote healthcare

Our team led the user experience design of rapid diagnostic testing, clinic management, and digitizing records. Through the development of Fio's Deki Reader device, we achieved a test-reading accuracy of at least 98%. With frequent doctor and healthcare worker input, Fio's Care Coordinator app replaced all paper processes from medical workflows, patient records, inventory management, payment, and scheduling. Fio's Deki Reader, Care Coordinator app, and FioNet were deployed to dozens of regions across rural Africa and South America.
